Learn how to make an authentic Korean feast with this exclusive virtual cooking class! In this 90min online experience, learn how to Koreanize your home cooked favorites. Originally from South Korea, our guest chef Wan Jeong is a freelance food & travel journalist and has worked with a host of renowned chefs; learning about different cuisines, flavours and techniques. We will share the story behind each dish and snippets from interviews with some of the most renowned chefs in the world! All classes come with vegetarian option, and will include an ingredients list sent out before the day itself. Glass Noodles with Stir Fried Veggies and M&M Hotteok For this session, you will learn how to prepare a delicious Glass Noodles with Stir Fried Veggies and M&M Hotteok dish! Ingredients needed for Glass Noodles with Stir Fried Veggies: Main ●120g (4 oz) Korean sweet potato starch noodles (Dangmyeon) ● 100g (31⁄2 oz) lean beef (sirloin or rib eye) or pork * For vegetarians:100g (31⁄2 oz) plant based meat or 150g (5 oz) assorted mushrooms Remaining ingredients ● 30g (1 oz) carrot ● 30g (1 oz) green bell pepper ● 30g (1 oz) red bell pepper ● 30g (1 oz) white or yellow onion ● 60g (2 oz) fresh or dried shiitake mushrooms (*When using 150g/5 oz of assorted mushrooms, leave out.) ● 11⁄2 tsp garlic ● cooking oil ● sesame oil ● soy sauce ● sugar ● p.o.salt & pepper ● toasted sesame seeds (*optional) Ingredients needed for M&M Hotteok: For the dough ● 150g plain flour ● 110ml/1⁄2 cup/110g lukewarm water ● 1 Tbsp sugar ● 1⁄2 Tbsp cooking oil ● 1 tsp instant yeast ● 1⁄4 tsp salt ● 1 tsp black sesame seeds (optional) For the filling ● 14-16 M&M’s peanut chocolate (*For peanut free version, see the notes.)
