About this event
The market town of Grassington was first mentioned in William the Conqueror's Domesday Book census (1086) and is surrounded by beautiful limestone scenery and a rare woodland.
During the walk we will have two groups, a short one roughly 8km in length and the longer one roughly 10-11km. On the day you can choose which group you would like to walk with and it should last roughly 3 hours stopping regularly to appreciate the stunning views and points of interest along the route.
We will finish the trip off with some time to explore Grassington and the many cafes and shops it has to offer. Please note that the amount of free time you have in Grassington will depend upon which walking option you choose.
We will depart by coach from the Parkinson Steps at 10:00 returning at approximately 16:30.
What you need to bring:
Please come in suitable footwear for uneven and unpaved terrain (walking boots or strong trainers). We also recommend you bring:
- Waterproof jacket and warm clothes
- Food and drink for during the walk
- Money to purchase items from the town
