About this event
ACT UP (AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power) is an international, grassroots political group working to end the AIDS pandemic. The group works to improve the lives of people with AIDS through direct action, legislation, medical research, treatment and advocacy, and changing public policies.
Youth Stop AIDS will be dedicating this informal session to looking at the importance of ACT UP in the past and today - concentrating on their importance in the United States and the reformation of the ACT UP movement starting in the United Kingdom. Activities include: discussing campaigns, banner making and more.
