About this event
Ilkley Moor has so many attractions including the iconic Cow and Calf Rocks and fantastic views of the Yorkshire Dales.
Famous for the Cow and Calf Rocks, Ilkley Moor also has bronze age rock art, stone circles, and serves up fantastic panoramic views of the Wharfedale Valley and Yorkshire Dales. Come and explore with a friendly guided walk followed by some free time in the delightful Ilkley town.
During the walk we will have two groups, a short one roughly 5km and the longer one roughly 8km. On the day you can choose which group you would like to walk with and it should last roughly 3 hours stopping regularly to appreciate the views and points of interest on route.
We will finish the trip off with a pub or cafe visit for some traditional Yorkshire refreshments so we suggest some spending money for a snack or hot chocolate in Ilkley town where you can explore the cafes and shops before departing back for Leeds.
*Please note this trip is run in partnership with Get Out Get Active and is subsidised by the Hall Exec Committee Fund*
