About this event
There will be two walking routes for you to choose from to explore this beautiful areas.
Walk 1 is an ascent of Winder Fell is the most popular walk from Sedbergh on account of its close proximity to the town and the splendid views of the nearby Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lune Valley stretching down to the Morecame Bay estuary. It is roughly 5km long and we expect it to take roughly 2-3 hours.
Walk 2 climbs past Cautley Sout waterfall then continues up the ridge to the top of The Calf which is the highest point on the Howgill Fells. It is roughly 13km long and we expect it to take roughly 4 hours. There will be a lower version for bad weather along the beautiful River Rawthey to Sedbergh from Cautley Spout. After the walks in Sedbergh, you will experience the atmosphere of a market village with plenty of pubs, cafes and bookshops.
