Students have spoken up and rated their landlords and we can now announce this year’s Landlords of the Year as voted by you.
The winning landlords include:
- Sue Michaels from Leeds Student Houses
- Mohammad Ikhlaq from Fab Student Homes
- Christine King
- Carr-Hall Properties
- Ruth Potter
- CA Properties
- Carlton Hill - Unipol House
- Gary Cooper
- Headingley Property Services
Winners were determined based on student reviews on the Rate Your Landlord website.
An overall Student Landlord of the Year has been crowned by Student Exec from Leeds University Union and Leeds Beckett Students’ Union taking all your reviews into consideration. We can now confirm the winner is DHM Properties.
George Bissett Community Officer said:
“Rate Your Landlord was created to help improve housing standard for students. It lets students and landlords have a two-way dialogue through the review and response system, and helps students looking for a house make an informed decision. I'm excited to be recognising the landlords who do the most for students, as decided by student reviews, at the Rate Your Landlord Awards.”
Winners were recognised last night in the Landlord Awards Ceremony, an annual ceremony held to help inform students of good landlords within Leeds.
Kelly-Anne Watson VP of Community and Welfare at Leeds Beckett Students’ Union said:
"The reason why I love being involved with The RYL Awards is that the student voice is being heard and landlords who work hard to give students a positive living experience are being recognised."
The Awards Ceremony was run in partnership between Leeds University Union, Unipol and Leeds Beckett Students’ Union.
You can rate your landlord here to help other students looking for housing and give feedback.
