What we’re all about

The Leeds University Union Music Society (LUUMS) is one of the biggest societies in the LUU and have something to offer you regardless of your subject of study, musical ability or taste. There are 10 ensembles for you to be involved with, a chamber music competition, a piano competition and some fantastic social events, ranging from watching concerts in the city to our Friday Feature events, showcasing the best music available from around the university.

Socials

We have an exciting social calendar lined up for this year, ranging from ensemble based socials to society wide film nights and concert trips to the city. We also host our own Intro and Refreshers Party, as well as our Friday Feature events which provide a platform for the best up and coming performers from around the university.

Membership

Full membership costs £20 and gives you access to all ensembles, discounted tickets and performance opportunities. Departmental membership costs £5 and gives you access to composers ensemble, performance opportunities through the Friday feature and discounts to various events. Alumni membership costs £15 and gets you an invitation to the society showcase concerts, discounted tickets to events and a copy of the society newsletter.
