LeadLUU is a democratic election process that takes place each spring. Candidates put themselves forward for the Student Exec Officer role they think they’re best suited to, create manifestos for what they want to achieve, and campaign to win your vote.
In short, it’s a pretty big deal. It’s where every student on campus gets to vote for who runs their Union – their six new Student Exec Officers.
The Student Exec are on the highest rung of the Union’s student leadership ladder, and represent all Leeds students full-time. They lobby the University to make significant change and give students a voice in the highest places, even appearing on national news.
