Activities Executive

13 students represent our 300+ clubs and societies here at LUU as part of our Activities Exec team, supported by Ella, our Activities and Opportunities Officer for 2022/23.
The executive is all about representing the views and interests of club and society members to decision makers at the Union and University, to ensure they’re providing the best experience for our members.
Your new Reps for 2022/23, elected by you, are:
General Interest – Bethany Holden
Welfare – Diya Mittal
Dance – Zoe Gray
Music and performance – Alexander Boulton
Political and Campaigning – Ryan Marsden
We’re still looking for Reps! Check back later in summer for our Activities Executive by-election.
What do they do?
Each member of the Activities Exec represents a category of LUU societies – from Performance & Music to Welfare, they’ve got you covered.
They make key decisions about new society formations, allocate funding, chair five Society Executive Category Meetings to gather feedback on proposed policies, and represent the voices and needs of members in their category at the Better Forums.
Examples of great Activities Exec work includes this year’s team approving over £80,000 of Activities Grants to help societies do amazing things, as well as both organising and presenting the Riley Awards, a glamorous awards ceremony celebrating the very best of our clubs and societies.
Training is provided to all successful candidates, so don’t worry if it’s your first time running for a student leadership position. You’ll also have an LUU member of staff to support you, with the full team chaired by Ella.
