About this event

his landscape fuelled the imagination of the Bronte sisters to write their classic novels such as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

We would like to emphasise the need for good outdoor walking shoes or strong trainers plus a layer of waterproof clothing. The walking will be split into two different level of distances up to 12km stopping regularly to appreciate the views and points of interest. The activators will ensure you are in the appropriate group.

We will finish the trip off with a pub or cafe visit in Haworth for some traditional Yorkshire refreshments so we suggest bringing some spending money for a tasty meal, snack or hot drink before departing back for Leeds. Alternately you may want to bring a packed lunch and drink of your own.

Please note the language centre will be facilitating a trip to the Bronte Parsonage on the day after the walk should you wish to visit it. Visiting the parsonage costs £6.50 for a student ticket (student ID required).

A final details email/reminder will be sent out on the Thursday or Friday beforehand.
