Trans Liberation

Trans Liberation at LUU
“We stand with the Trans and Non-Binary community. The erasure of transness is something that we cannot ignore and need to recognise and rectify in order to achieve Trans Liberation. Trans people have been at the forefront of many civil rights movements, so we owe our civil liberties to many Trans activists. At LUU, we want to eliminate Transphobia in our organisation and we are committed to supporting and uplifting our Trans students. We are committed to Trans liberation for all.”
Natasha Fowler-Ekar, Equality and Liberation Officer 2021/22
Trans Day of Remembrance
When recognising the Trans Day of Remembrance, several of our students at LUU chose to make these resources in order to celebrate and recognise Trans History.
Other resources
Here are some other resources that we hope might be helpful or interesting. We’d particularly encourage you to visit the LGBTQ+ Guide to Leeds for a list of support, sports clubs, night clubs and other venues that you can try at Leeds.
