Making a Better Union

Making a Better Union

Last week LUU held our Better Forums - a chance for all of our members to put forward ideas that improve how we do things here at the Union, at the University and in the city of Leeds.

From challenging the University to change their search engine to tackling period poverty, there were a mix of ideas that passed and are now LUU policy that officers and staff will work on for the next three years. You can check out all the latest policy here.

Two ideas that the panel couldn’t decide on head to referendum for the whole campus to have a say. We want to know if LUU should support a People’s Vote on Brexit and whether LUU should provide the same support for radio and television as it does for print media. You can brush up on what both ideas are proposing before you make your final decision - have a read and vote in both referendum here. Voting is open from 4 - 7 December.

Find out more about our Forums and how we make policy at LUU, and submit your own idea.
