We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to the sustainability impact at LUU. Thank you to our sustainability reps: Ben Harris, Polly Boor, Amy Stubbins and Jodie Rhoden; and also our nominee for the SOS Student Leadership award, Emma Green (for her work leading the delivery of Fairtrade Fortnight).
We are proud to have established new initiatives, such as the sustainability rep role, circular consumption events like the clothes swap, chewing gum and vape recycling, as well as to have expanded on previous year’s efforts, such as Climate Week. In 2023/24, we want to continue to embed climate friendly decision-making by representing student voice on the University of Leeds Climate Plan and by creating transparency around how we measure, record, and improve our sustainable impact.
