Get involved in our Fresh Start Festival

We’re welcoming students back to Leeds in 2022 with our brand new celebration Fresh Start Festival. The week-long event will be jointly hosted by LUU and University of Leeds on 24 – 30 January 2022.

After the holiday season it can be hard to slot back into University life, so we’re bringing students some light-hearted fun to look forward to.

Held after January exams have ended, the festival will give students the chance to celebrate, have some fun and ease themselves back into University life outside of teaching and deadlines.

We already have plenty of exciting things planned, including a society fair, drag night and don’t forget the free tea and coffee. All students are welcome, and we’re looking for our clubs and societies to get involved.

Get your society involved. We’re looking for our LUU societies to help bring the fun to the festival with some creative and out of the box ideas. Whether it’s a flashmob, performance or games that fellow students can engage with, we want to see it. It will give you the opportunity to advertise your sport, hobby or passion, and even get some more members signed up.

Got something in mind? Our Development and Engagement Coordinators are here to help organise your activities, so even if it’s just a fun idea for now, they can help bring it to life. Whether it’s providing advice on funding or  organising the event, make sure to let them know what you’re thinking and send your questions over.
