A shake up for Club & Soc Committee elections

This April we’re launching LUU’s first ever Club & Society Election Month, changing the way you vote for your groups’ next committees.

In previous years, clubs and societies have held individual AGMs to elect their committee members for the upcoming year, but this year we’re streamlining that process and bringing every mini election together into a centralised online system – just like LeadLUU.

We wanted to explain how the new process will work, and the dates you need to know. Nominations will be opening soon so do think about whether you want to run.

Clubs and Societies should set up their elections by filling in this form.

From 7 April, you’ll have the opportunity to nominate yourself via the voting site. When you log on and click through to your society’s election, you’ll be shown a list of roles you’re eligible for.

Later, once voting goes live, you’ll be able to cast your vote from the same page. Make a note of it now, or access it through the LUU site once voting begins.

  • Nomination period: 9am Wednesday 7 April – 5pm Friday 16 April
  • Voting period: 5pm Friday 16 April – 5pm Sunday 25 April
  • Counting period: Monday 26 April – Wednesday 28 April
  • Results announced: Thursday 29 April
