Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last week, your Student Exec has been working with the wider LUU team to plan our own ‘roadmap’ to restarting activities and bringing our building back to life.
We realise how tough the last year has been for everyone. The news has made us feel more hopeful and positive about getting slowly back to normal and we hope you’re feeling the same too.
As restrictions start to lift and it’s possible for smaller groups of people to get together, our priority will be to make sure clubs and societies can start to meet and plan activities in person again. I know, as your Activities Officer, just how important this will be for everyone. LUU is your building and we can’t wait to start welcoming you back.
We’ll be following the government’s guidelines on when we can start reopening our shops, cafes and bars again and we’re looking to start the summer with a series of Fruity events at the end of June.
So, sign up to our newsletter on the LUU website and follow us on social media as we’ll be updating you with developments regularly.
In the meantime, stay safe and of course, contact me or any of the Exec if there’s anything you want to talk about.
