As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best employability opportunities to our students, we have developed a new two-year Retail Graduate Trainee role that is ideal for any recent graduates who are interested in pursuing a career within the Retail industry. Please note – there is no guaranteed role at the end of this two year program.
We are looking for a creative, motivated Retail Graduate Trainee to join our independent retail team within one of the country’s leading students’ unions. Assisting the Retail Manager in a customer-focused environment, you will be passionate about working to high standards and delivering consistently great service. You will utilise your communication skills and gain first-hand experience in coaching, motivating, and developing a team. You will assist with the stores’ successful online business, organising the fulfilment of orders and inventory maintenance.
Over the two year program you will develop an understanding of retail standards and financial reporting in order to support the Retail Manager to maximise sales and margins. You will also develop leadership, organisational, and business skills to support two successful stores in delivering exactly what students need and want!
As a student’s union we are closed over the Christmas holiday period and on bank holidays so we have the best hours in the business!
We have great internal training opportunities and we are looking for someone who has a real passion for helping us make sure every student loves their time at Leeds.
We offer 26 days’ holiday (plus generous statutory and customary closure days) and a pension scheme.
