Who can join?
We welcome members of all abilities, from complete beginners to elite. Whether you are practising for a competition, or just want to master a new skill, our coaches will be happy to help you.
No new skill is impossible to learn, so while the experienced gymnasts can train hard, there is also the opportunity for beginners to learn some cool new skills.

Competitions
We love taking a team to competitions, and we pride ourselves on always being the loudest, most supportive team there!
We take part in the University Gymnastics Cup, BUCS Championships and Varsity.
Competitions are great fun and a fantastic way to get to know your team members better, enjoy the sport in a different environment and to show off new skills. Don’t worry, we don’t take ourselves too seriously at competitions and it’s all a bit of fun. There are opportunities for members of all levels to compete, from beginner to elite.
Taking part in competitions is greatly encouraged and is one of our favourite parts of the society, but is completely optional.
Training
We train twice a week at Gymmagic.
Alternating Tuesdays and Fridays: 2pm – 4pm
Sundays: 4pm – 6pm
We meet half an hour before training starts outside of the Parkinson Building, and transport to the gym is provided.
You can attend as often or as infrequently as you like.
Training is currently cancelled until further notice.

Socials
Socialising is a huge part of our society, and we meet up online every Wednesday evening for a social. As with training, we’d love to see you there, but it’s totally up to you how often you come. It’s a great way to get to know other members.
We also go on tour for a week in the Easter break every year along with tons of other sports teams – again, totally optional but great fun. We’re one big group of mates, united by our love for gymnastics!
Fees
Society membership for the year is £35.
There is also a session fee of £5 per session to cover transport costs, payable online through the union website. There is a limit of 30 people per session.
Freshers
If you have any questions, please get in touch through any of our social media channels or by email.
Come and meet Maddie, our President, at the Freshers Fair on 23rd Sep between 1-3pm. If you’re unable to attend in person, the committee will also be running a virtual Freshers Fair stall on Google Meet from 11:15am-12pm. Furthermore, our DMs are always open so if there’s anything you’re unsure about, just send us a message and one of our committee members will get back to you.
If you want to try out gymnastics before you commit, we welcome you to attend up to two sessions before you purchase membership (the £5 session fee will still apply).
We post loads of information onto our social media channels so follow us to keep updated.
