What we’re all about
University of Leeds Jewish Society is a lively, vibrant and friendly community that unites Jewish students around Leeds. They provide constant Friday night dinners, Jewish learning and cultural events, and a variety of club nights and social activities. Yes! The University currently has custom built Kosher accommodation in two halls of residences: Montague Burton and Leodis. The halls are ten minutes away from Hillel House on foot, and the flats are accessible without breaking Shabbat. Both residences are really lovely and affordable, and the distance from Campus is hard to beat. Bare in mind, there are limited spaces, so don't be disheartened if you don't get a room in a Kosher flat - you can also apply to live in Hillel House, or speak to a member of committee if you're really at a dead end.
