What we’re all about
CathSoc are here for faith, friendship, fun, prayer and support. They come together primarily to celebrate Mass at the Catholic Chaplaincy on campus. Everyone is welcome at Mass and other socials and events that CathSoc run. They organise meals out, bowling, hikes, Ceilidhs and more where you can relax and celebrate with a diverse range of people who share your faith.
Our Masses happen during the week and every Sunday at 5pm during term time. There is weekday Mass at 1.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 8.10am on Fridays followed by breakfast.
We host a variety of socials throughout the year usually after the 5pm Mass, with meals out, bowling, quizzes, bonfires, cocktail evenings and much more!
Every year we raise money for a charity chosen by our committee, and this year that is St Gemma's Hospice. We'll be raising money throughout the year with a Promise Auction, running the Abbey Dash and our ceilidh.
Our Masses and socials are at the University Catholic Chaplaincy, 5-7 St Mark's Avenue, LS2 9BN, opposite the Engineering buildings.
