What we’re all about
We are a group both Buddhists and non-Buddhists who run meditation sessions, discussions, socials and retreats. We aim to give anyone a place where they can meet a relaxed community of friendly people, practice meditation and learn more about Buddhism. Guided sessions take place every week so whether you're an experienced meditator or a first timer, we hope you’ll find it helpful.
Our weekly sessions run Wednesdays 5pm-7pm in LUU Room 6. These normally consist of guided meditations, talks, discussions and a tea-break around 6pm so people can join halfway through. All our sessions are free and you don’t have to be a member.
The best way to keep in touch with us is through our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/luubudmed/
Throughout the year we try to hold day-retreats in Leeds, where we can have a day out and practice meditation together. We also try to hold one longer residential retreat out in the countryside, which people really enjoy, for both developing their meditation practice and making good friends.
We run several socials throughout the term and hopefully some film nights with discussions to follow.
Sessions are free so come along to see if a membership suits you first.
