Introduced by Dr Julia Snell of the School of English, this session takes this Guardian article (https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/oct/24/its-had-a-lasting-impact-students-on-being-bullied-over-their-accents) , as a starting point and provides safe space for conversations reflecting on personal experiences and the way that accents are perceived in higher education and more widely, before rounding up with discussion on the changes you’d like to see happen to prevent accent prejudice.
