Spoken Word: Live Words and Recreation!
Now that restrictions have eased enough, we are glad to be able to host our first in-person spoken word event of the academic year! Get ready for an evening of live words and recreation on Wednesday 9th June from 6-7:30 PM GMT!
In line with current guidelines, we will be holding this event outdoors on the lawn behind the stage@leeds / LUU Building on campus. You can access this space by going down the path on the left of the LUU Building next to Old Bar, then following this through to the right behind the stage@leeds building.
We will need to cap the number of attendees to 30 as this is the current outdoor limit, so all guests will need to ensure they've signed up for a free ticket in advance via the link below!
This will be a very chill event where members can come and meet each other for the first time, relax in the sun and bring along any pieces they want to share in an informal open mic! As a general guide, please make sure your pieces don't go over 3 minutes in total to ensure everyone gets a chance to speak, and then this can be adjusted depending on time and performance numbers. There is a separate form in the event link if you would like to put your name down for performing, please make sure this is done as well as getting a ticket.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
