It's coming up to that time of year again! Everyone's about to go all gooey and melty like cheap chocolate, or hard and bitter as an un-squeezed lemon. THAT'S RIGHT. St. Valentine's approaches. Whether you're a die-hard commercial love day fan or an anti-establishment defender of 'it's just a day EUGH,' come and join us this Saturday 13th February at 6PM GMT for this special Anti-Valentines Open Mic, with a *DRUM ROLL* special surprise for you at the end of the event! *There is a theme for the open mic but it's a vague one: 'Anti-Valentines'. SO bring us love poems, anti-love poems, poems about your ex, about your ex's ex, about that one person you met on Tinder, or poems about things that are in no way shape or form related to Valentine's Day. If you have a sonnet written to toast and tea in a draw somewhere, now is your only chance to get on stage and perform it! If you have an 'oh I thought this was love but you're not a very nice person' rap (come on we all do) bring it along! Everyone welcome to perform and watch, including people not currently studying at the University of Leeds, so bring your friends! Can't wait to see you all there!
