To celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month, EARS (East Asian Research Society) is honoured to present a talk by Kevin Chen, a successful actor and writer from Taiwan who is currently based in Berlin. He has starred in various Taiwanese and German films and published many novels and short story collections. His latest book Ghost Town, which recently won the Taiwan Literature Award, is a story of homecoming set in Chen’s own hometown, exploring the struggle and search for freedom and identity as a gay man. Kevin will be sharing his story and experiences with us and his journey to success.
