About this event
Working Class Awareness Week is the first of its kind here at LUU, and we aim to use the week to shed light on the experiences of working class students, discuss the barriers they face and how to overcome them as well as facilitating a stronger community of students with similar experiences.
Come from a non-traditional route into medicine? Faced adversity or setbacks on your route here? Are you interested in the barriers that restrict opportunities to 'break-in' to these elite professions? On how we can make a difference to this experience on campus?
In our first event of this kind, we are hosting a panel of people who have had alternative routes into Medicine at Leeds to talk about their journey and experiences. We will follow the panel with group discussions and Q&A. Drinks and snacks will be provided!
Please fill out our survey below on working-class student experiences.
