About this event
Join us for an all-new breakfast series, featuring a range of faculty and researchers. This year's theme is climate change, but you don't have to be an expert to come; just bring an open mind for hearing how climate change reaches beyond science into arts, ethics, literature, and more.
The Breakfast Club seminar series is for postgraduates only and will take place monthly throughout the year.
Admission is free with breakfast and coffee included. Space is limited, so sign up fast.
Jointly presented by the Priestley International Centre for Climate
In this pair of linked talks, Dr David Higgins and Lucy Rowland will draw on current research within the Environmental Humanities, inviting you to consider the connections between climate change and power relations in Romantic-period literature and contemporary speculative fiction. We will focus particularly on the question of who gets to tell stories of climate change, as well as how it produces, and is produced by, inequalities related to gender, race, and class.
