About this event
Rooted is LUU’s food growing project. Join us in the Sustainable Garden, your very own green gym right in the heart of campus.
We run volunteer sessions every Wednesday, which are a great way to get outside, meet people, and learn about food growing in a beautiful green space.
If you are a new volunteer, please come along at 2pm or 4pm, so we can give you a short introduction to the project. Spaces are limited, so please be on time if you want to guarantee a place*. We'll start the session with an introduction to the tasks and then break off into groups.
There’s always some produce to take home and lots of opportunities to ask questions, learn new skills, share ideas and get stuck into growing tasty organic vegetables. Everybody is welcome, no growing experience is needed, and we provide refreshments, tools, tea and snacks.
There are toilets nearby. Directions can be found here. If you aren't sure where we are, please text/call 07706643035. For more information about Rooted, and to join our mailing list, please see our website and our Facebook.
*If you are a regular volunteer you are welcome to come along later.
