About this event
Rooted is LUU’s food growing project. We run volunteer sessions on the Roof garden every Monday, which are a great way to get outside, meet people, and learn about food growing in a beautiful green space.
Due to a high level of interest over the last few weeks, we are asking people to arrive at 12pm if possible*. We provide tea and snacks, bring some lunch to eat at 12pm if you would like. We'll start the session with an introduction to the tasks and then break off into groups.
There’s always some produce to take home and lots of opportunities to ask questions, learn new skills, share ideas and get stuck into growing tasty organic vegetables. Everybody is welcome, no growing experience is needed, and we provide refreshments, tools, tea and snacks.
We are on level 2 of the Union building, and there are toilets nearby. If you aren't sure where we are, please text/call 07706643035. For more information about Rooted, and to join our mailing list, please see our website and our Facebook.
*If you are a regular volunteer, and would like to come later in the session, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand and we will save you a space.
