About this event

Leeds University Union (LUU) and the University of Leeds would like to invite you to the Draw the Line Campaign Showcase

Draw the Line is a project which aims to end harassment our students can face while studying in Leeds. Our primary focus is tackling hate crime and create a challenge, report, support system amongst the student and staff community. An objective which is being led by the Hate Crime Support Ambassadors. However, elements of the project will also tackle sexual assault and online harassment.

We will discuss the impact the project has had on and off campus, how the police are tackling hate crimes in the wider Leeds community and what can be done once the project reaches its conclusion. There will be talks from LUU representatives, a spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police and from the hate crime reporting ambassadors.

Entertainment, food & drinks will be provided

Where: Function, Leeds University Union (directions available from Union foyer)

When: Monday 15th October from 5pm- 7pm

This event is a part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week - For more information on this national campaign please check out the websites below
