About this event
We will walk as a group at a gentle pace, exploring the Chevin Forest Park with its crags and sculptures and walking up towards a beautiful spot called Surprise View which looks over Otley town. On arriving at this spot, we will take part in a chilled-out group meditation session, facilitated by one of the Meditation Society’s lovely partners. The society is regularly facilitated by local Buddhist monks, students and other members of the Buddhist community. You don’t have to be a Buddhist, or to have meditated before to take part in this fantastic chance to try something new and look after your wellbeing. Everyone is welcome!
There will be the possibility to take part in guided meditation, breathing techniques and quiet reflection depending on what the walkers would like. Please wear sensible walking shoes or boots which will be comfortable, and we suggest you bring some food and water to enjoy after the walk.
Time allowing, we plan to take some time to relax and explore in Otley after the meditation session.
A final details email will be sent out on the Thursday before the trip.
