About this event

“Integrate well. Move upwards in society. Be praised – until people worry that you’re doing too well, and then they remember that you’re foreign." (from The Good Immigrant, 2018)

The Good Immigrant brings together fifteen emerging British black, Asian and minority ethnic writers, poets, journalists and artists. These fifteen essays about race and immigration paint a picture of what it means to be ‘other’ in Britain today. To celebrate World Book Day 2018, Nikesh will be with us discussing his successful collection and will present his new novel The One Who Wrote Destiny that will be published this April by Atlantic Books.

The event will start at 6.00 sharp in the Loft located above Blackwell's: please arrive on time.
