About this event
Sophrology is a discipline based on gentle body movements, breathing exercises and visualisation techniques.
In this session you’ll work towards increasing your capacity to manage stress and negative emotions. You’ll learn simple tools you can easily apply in daily life, and with practice and training you’ll grow your capacity to:
- Feel calmer under pressure and release tensions
- Keep a clear and focused mind
- Improve your resilience, concentration and performance
- Feel strong and positive in the face of challenges
All are welcome, and sessions last around 45 minutes to an hour. Sessions start with a short dialogue and are followed by the practitioner guiding the session. Sophrology is usually done sitting or standing with the eyes closed, and at the end of the session the practitioner will invite you to talk about what you experienced (if you’re happy to share it).
