What we’re all about
Stitch 'n' Bitch is a social gathering themed around crafting and creating. Whether you prefer knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, hand sewing or any other type of craft, you can bring your materials along and enjoy friendly conversation with other crafters. Even if you don't know one end of a crotchet hook from the other, they can help get you started and give you important hints and tips at their weekly sessions.
We meet in LUU Room 4 every Monday from 5pm-7pm for a cuppa, a biscuit and some crafting.
I am a first year Postgraduate Researcher in Engineering. I enjoy going along to Stitch and Bitch as it gives me a set time every week to craft. So I’m actually making progress on projects which have been sat around for years! I am very much a crochet man and prefer to make things in the round. So if you need help making cute animal toys (or storm troopers) I’m your man.
General Secretary- Emily
I am a second year geology student from Sheffield who is also a beginner knitter and crocheter who is happy to help fellow newbies and chat about everything during the sessions.
Social Secretary- Eloise
I am a first year classical civilisation student. I'm always around to help with knitting and hand stitching and I'm usually pretty easy to find but don't ask me for help with crochet, it never does what I want it to.
