Leeds University Union’s Co-op will support three new local charities: Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids, Hyde Park Source, and Leeds Irish Health & Homes.
Want to be part of supporting these local causes? You’ll need to sign up to be a Co-op member. When you use your Co-op membership card in store then some of that cash will go directly to those charities, and you’ll also enjoy the following rewards:
- 5% back to spend next time when you buy Co-op products
- a share in Co-ops profits if they do well
- the right to vote on how they do business
It’s just £1 to become a member and start saving and donating when you’re buying your meal deal or grabbing a few groceries on campus.

Cat Fairbairn, Community Officer at Leeds University Union, said “We share a lot of values with Co-op, which is why our LUU Co-op franchise makes so much sense. One of those values is community and it’s great to know that these three amazing local charities will be supported by our spending in LUU. I’d encourage all students to get their Co-op membership sorted if you haven’t already.”
