Liberal Arts

What we’re all about

The Liberal Arts Society is a place to get to know your course mates and peers outside of lectures through socials and other events, enriching your time at university in Leeds. Through our weekly meetups and inter-year buddy system, the society will keep you in touch with your peers and allow a space for discussion, debate or any possible questions or queries about the course.

Of course, there will be a load of fun socials and events organised throughout the year, so make sure to keep posted for updates on these, either through this page or find us on Facebook.

Because it's a new society - and a new, relatively small course - there is plenty of room for your ideas and enthusiasm to make this society all it can be.

You can get involved through weekly meets where there'll be a new topic to discuss every time. We'll also have a buddy system, where you can talk to second years who’ll help to answer any queries, whether academic or otherwise, and get through your first year of University.

As part of your membership fee, you will get discounts and special deals for events that we organise as a group, whether to the Varsity rugby match, out on an Otley Run or just a Tuesday night at Bierkeller. Keep yourself in the loop as we add more events to the calendar this year so you don't miss out.
