What we’re all about

LAMMPS (Leeds Amateur Medics Musical & Performance Society) run musical and performance activities for all students! This includes those studying any healthcare course throughout the academic year that are suited to the more intense placement and lecture schedules and who may struggle to join other societies! We run 2 different groups throughout the year: A Dance strand for weekly dance sessions and our show strand, where we put on an annual musical in Semester two.

We are also trialing 2 new strands this year: a choir and a strings group that anyone is welcome to come along and join for free!

Rehearsals- anyone welcome!

Dance Rehearsals: Thursdays 8-10pm, Jade Studio LUU

Choir Rehearsals: Mondays 8-10pm, Room 4 LUU

Strings Group Rehearsals: Sundays 1-3pm, Room 2 LUU

Our 2019/2020 show is 'Be More Chill' which is fresh from a broadway stage. LAMMPS will be the first group in England to perform the musical and we are so excited to get started with auditions and rehearsals!

We run regular drinking and non-drinking socials throughout the year! In second term we run a LAMMPS Tour, where we get a coach to city, watch a musical and have a great night out! Other previous socials of ours have including Indoor Trampolining, Karaoke Nights and many more!

Standard Student membership is £10! This includes free weekly dance classes and an opportunity to be in the annual musical, as well as discounts to our events and fundraisers throughout the year! We also have an alumni membership for past members who would still like to be involved in the society costing £5.
