As part of the Community Rep team, you will work to strengthen the sense of belonging of students in the community. Community Reps champion for students in two key areas: Housing and Environment, and seek to hold LUU and the University accountable.
You will make a positive change by running campaigns and events, taking part in Better Forums and lobbying for action to improve the University, Union and city for students. You will have the opportunity to be involved in LUU’s Sustainability Advisory Board, Climate Week and other events and campaigns across the year.
You will collaborate closely with the Union Affairs & Communications and Wellbeing Officers and receive support from the Political Engagement Team. This volunteer role requires about 4 hours per week time commitment, varying between weeks and projects. You’ll need to be organised, motivated and passionate in bringing about change for students.
To apply you must be a current or incoming student at the University of Leeds – undergraduate and postgraduate applications are welcomed.
