Multiple roles available

Do you want to be part of a charity that helps over 38,000 students love their time at Leeds?  We are looking for people who can help our members love their time at Leeds. Located at the heart of campus, the Union is a space to meet people, make new friends and get involved.

There are fantastic opportunities to develop your skills through in-house training courses, allowing good future career prospects.

Bars & Venues Assistants within Venues (Clubs & Gigs) – 8 hours per week over approximately 2 shifts – you must be able to work evenings and weekends, and Friday nights in particular

As a Bar Assistant in Venues, you’re at the heart of our members’ experience whilst at LUU, and so we’re looking for some hard working, enthusiastic people to join our outlets. If you’re friendly, enjoy working in a team, have good communication skills and want to work in a vibrant bar environment that is fast paced and exciting, then working in our Venues Team could be the perfect part time job for you. Please be aware that working in Venues involves late nights as a requirement of the role; shifts during gigs can last until 11pm and working a ‘Fruity’ club shift on a Friday can involve a 5am finish.

We recruit using a talent pool system which means we continually recruit for these type of roles throughout the year. Successful individuals to oversubscribed areas may remain in the talent pool for up to 6 months.

In your application, please explain how you meet the person specification and what you can bring to the team here at LUU.

Closing date: 9am Monday 24 February 2020*

Assessment centres & interviews:  Tuesday 10 March, Sunday 15 March and Tuesday 17 March 2020

*Please note these roles are very popular and so we may close this advert early if we receive enough applications. However there will be a number of additional advertising windows throughout the year.

LUU is committed to equality and valuing diversity within its employees. We particularly welcome applications from ethnic minority candidates who are currently underrepresented in these roles at LUU.
