The Trainee Assistant Bar Manager will be working predominantly within Old Bar. You will get to enjoy a mix of operational shifts, as well as developing your understanding of business practices, including rotas, stock takes and audits.
We are looking for people who are great communicators, team players, give fantastic customer service and who have a passion for working in a busy, vibrant environment. As a student’s union we are closed over the Christmas holiday period and on bank holidays so we have the best hours in the business!
We have developed a comprehensive training plan covering the two-year program to ensure that the successful candidates will maximize all of the opportunities available to them, working within one of the best student unions in the country.
You will be working a combination of operational shifts, as well as developing your knowledge of business practices, including menu and pricing strategy, business analysis, stock and cash auditing, and helping the wider manager team with the training and development of the staff.
We offer 26 days’ holiday (plus generous statutory and customary closure days) and a pension scheme.
