LUU Islamic Society

What we’re all about

The Islamic Society (ISoc) is here to build a community around students who identify as Muslim regardless of their background or school of thought. Our primary aim is to create an atmosphere around campus where Muslim students can thrive and feel at home. We do this through fun and exciting socials, sports activities, monthly talks, charity events and community engagement. We are also prominent in interfaith activities around the University. So join us in achieving a strong, united and harmonious community of Muslims students on campus.

We have open meetings through out the year where committee and members meet to feedback to the ISoc. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place around April and involves discussion of the past year, followed by elections to vote in a new executive committee for the next academic year.

The Islamic Society offers a range of varied and exciting socials for brothers and sisters, from small-scale events like paintballing, archery, trampolining, horse-riding, etc; to our flagship events: Freshers Dinner and The Banquet - which receive up to 300 attendees.. Buy membership now to save on all of our amazing events.

Membership is only £5 for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Membership gives you FREE and/or discounted entry to ISOC events, discounts with our sponsors and plenty of freebies. Membership allows you to take part in ISoc elections – to stand for positions on committee and vote.
