Leeds Mens Cricket

                                                                 Vere, Demens, Profunde

Welcome to the Leeds University Union Men's Cricket Club. With 3 teams competing in the BUCS League each summer, a Development XI, Give It A Go sessions and 2 winter indoor teams there is something for everyone and opportunity for anybody to get involved, no matter of cricketing ability or background.

LUUMCC will quickly become a cornerstone of your time here at Leeds; there is the opportunity to be involved in an activity everyday of the week throughout the winter. This could simply be a weekly training session, playing for the intermural football team or embarking on the Wednesday social.

Our club ethos is simple; to perform at the highest level both on and off the field whilst the oportunities the club can provide will shape your time at University and create a lasting association with LUUMCC memorable beyond university years.

Despite the short nature of the BUCS playing season, LUUMCC members will enjoy a rich social calendar throughout the year where up to 100 like minded individuals embark on a weekly social promising to be the highlight of your week if not your university career. With several large themed events that will never fail to dissapoint. The club also joins 10'000 other students for a tour away in Easter and it's definately not a trip to be missed.

Playing Season

During the summer, LUUMCC can give you the opportunity to play in three very competitive BUCS leagues and play at some of the best University grounds on the circuit. Training also continues and allows a break away from the busy exam periods.

The LUUMCC Development XI also play competitive fixtures during the summer against both local and touring sides.

Squad training takes place at the Headingley Indoor School every Tuesday 5-7pm whilst the Development training takes place at the Edge Sports Hall at 5-7pm. Fitness sessions are arranged throughout the semester but these are expected to take place on a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday Evening.

LUUMCC and Yorkshire Cancer Research

LUUMCC began a partnership with YCR in 2015 and in September 2015 8 individuals from the club took part in the Great North Run and managed to raise over £1700. This Year 4 Members are returning to run again in aid of the Charity. Find our Just Giving page here:

This is a close relationship that the club are always looking to build on and raise both awareness and money to help support all of Yorkshire Cancer Researchs good work.

Please be aware that you do not have personal accident insurance cover related to this activity.  If you would like any cover, please seek this individually.  Here are some providers that you can enquire with:
