Feminism in the Global South

Thursday 09 March 2017 (5pm - 7:30pm)

Worsley SR (8.43 X & Y)

Hosted by PIN Leeds

Inspiring speakers from Nigeria, Jamaica, Palestine and more will talk about their views on women’s issues in their own countries. The panel discussion will focus on feminism and female rights activism in the Global South. This will be done by looking at feminism from different perspectives: religious, political, cultural. At the end of the event we will open the floor to questions. Let’s get inspired and challenge stereotypes together!

The Give It A Go programme of taster sessions runs throughout the year. Anyone can get involved and there is no obligation to join any society after the event.
