Leeds SEG is a local chapter of a international collection of geologists engaged in mineral exploration, extraction, and the business associated with it.

They will give you a taste of the industry and help you meet the people in this career. They run frequent field trips to working sites mining for gold, base metals, tungsten and more. They also run a programme of external speakers and help their members gain relevant summer work experience.
