Welcome to the Leeds Community Project, we’re a team of six students. Our job is to connect you to Leeds and all the communities out there.

There’s loads of ways for you to get involved with life in Leeds from making sure your neighbourhood is clean and tidy to helping us enact global environmental change. We’re here and ready to help you out.

We regularly run events for any member of the community, whether you’re a student or not, everyone is welcome, have a look at what is going on below.

Make Change

We regularly run campaigns in the Union and out in the community. These can be related to housing, safety, or the global environment. You might spot us out and about in the community or in LUU, or we might knock on your door.

Say hello to us upstairs in the Rep Room in the Union building or send us an email here

Representing You

We regularly represent students at meetings with neighbourhood forums and community groups. Keep an eye out on the Union’s Instagram story - we’ll often post there so we can take your views to meetings.

Leave Leeds Tidy

Leave Leeds Tidy happens throughout the year so you can clear out your unwanted stuff when you go home for the holidays while keeping Leeds tidy and divesting it from landfill.

We've been leaving Leeds tidy for over 10 years now, diverting over 100 tonnes and recycling it or giving it to local organisations and charities to put it to good use.

For everyone who has donated so far - thank you.

You can donate clothes, shoes, non-perishable food, kitchen items, working electricals, bikes and fire rated furniture at our collection points.
