Standard Membership: £15 / year
In order to purchase any other memberships, you must hold a standard membership first.
Standard members at UOL Tennis enjoy the following:
Free British Tennis Membership (BTM) through UOL Tennis – normally £25/year through the LTA.
Entry to Wimbledon Ticket Draw in March.

Beginners program – £20 for the year
-one session every week from September-April at Hyde Park Tennis courts in Woodhouse Moor.
-all sessions are coached and rackets and balls are provided.
-***due to COVID-19 we strongly encourage every player to bring their own rackets if possible. Also bring hand sanitiser and ensure social distancing is undertaken at all times***
Improvers Program – £22 for the year
– one session every week from September-April at Hyde Park Tennis courts in Woodhouse Moor.
-all sessions are coached and rackets and balls are provided.

Advanced Program – £25 for the year

Development Program – £40 for the year
-players for this will be selected at trials which will occur at the beginning of the academic year.
-players in development receive one 2 hour session a week at Hyde Park courts from September-April
-all sessions are coached and balls are provided. We encourage you to bring your own racket.
-*** COVID-19 *** Development squad have trained at John Charles Centre for Sport in previous years but due to uncertainty about funding caused by the pandemic, we are starting training for this squad outside. We are hoping that in Semester 2, or even half way through semester 1 when we have more clarity on the situation, that Development training could be moved indoors at John Charles. We will keep members of this squad updated.
Performance Program – £80 for the year
-players for this will be selected at trials which will occur at the beginning of the academic year.
-players in performance receive indoor sessions at David Lloyd in Leeds
-all sessions are coached and balls are provided. We encourage you to bring your own racket.
-transport to and from the venue will be subsidised by the Tennis Society.
– Performance players compete in BUCS every Wednesday against other universities! (not this semester due to Covid-19)

Add the standard membership to your basket and checkout. Go to SHOP and add the program you want to join to your basket and checkout.
BEGINNERS AND IMPROVERS: Every player is guaranteed one session per week. You may attend other sessions based on capacity – please contact the program coach for more information. If you want to change your session to a different day/time then send an email to leedsunitennis@outlook.com

DEVELOPMENT – Every player in development is selected following trials. If you are placed into development then you will receive one two-hour tennis session every week.
PERFORMANCE – Every player in performance is selected following trials. If you are placed into performance then you will have 3 indoor training sessions a week (all 2 hours long) and these take place at David Lloyd Tennis Centre in Leeds.
Sports pass
Please note: In order to access Weetwood from Week 3 of term you will need a sports pass. All students living in University Halls have a sports pass included in their accommodation fees. Yes, UOLTennis programs are only open to standard members of the club.
No, the standard membership is not necessary to join the Medics and Dentists program
Make sure you attend the open days where the coaches will be around to advise what program to join. If you can’t make the open days then drop in to anyone of the sessions for free and the coaches will advise you on which program to join.

Our development squad is hosted at John Charles Centre for Sport and is continually assessed throughout the year to allow players to move into the performance squad, depending on their level. Places are capped at 20 and are limited to those who miss out on the performance squad during the final stages of team trials.
No, the beginner sessions take place at Hyde Park courts. You will need a sports pass to access the social tennis sessions at Weetwood however.
No, you do not need a sports pass to attend the sessions at Weetwood.
