Protecting Your Grades

Working for students on fair assessments and exams.
Education Officer Carolina and Welfare Officer Sophia have been working with the University to work on options to prevent the third lockdown impacting your final grade and assessment outcomes.
So far, they have been meeting with the Student Education Service and Deputy Vice Chancellor: Education to discuss assessment extensions and the Save our Grades campaign.
Campaign Updates
- It is important that the impact which the pandemic and lockdown are having on your studies is acknowledged in the approach to assessment this year.
- The University will not be imposing any penalties for late submission of assessments, of up to one week, on all coursework with a deadline between Friday 8th January and Friday 22nd January. This applies to coursework which has already been set, rather than timed assessments during the examination period.
- We encourage you to use the existing process to apply for extensions and mitigating circumstances should you need to.
- We are awaiting further information from the University around longer term and summer assessment plans.
- We will keep you updated as guidance on study spaces becomes available.
