What we’re all about
BioSoc represents students from across the university who are interested in all biology subjects, from genetics to ecology, and particularly those who study within the Faculty of Biological Sciences. Our aim is to put on socials, events, collaborations and sports teams throughout the year to allow members to meet and spark friendships with others who share their same love of biology.
BioSoc members can join our BioSoc netball and football teams for free! No experience is needed, just come along and have a laugh! We have regular training, matches against other departmental societies, and sports team socials – look out for more information on our Facebook pages.
We hold a range of socials throughout the year, catering for everyone! Socials planned for 2017/18 include a pub crawl, bowling, Halloween events, a city trip, our Christmas ball, pub quizzes, a BBQ, nights out, a trip abroad and much more, as well as collaborations with Chemistry and Physics societies!
Membership costs £8 for 1 year, £14 for 2 years and £18 for a lifetime membership – a bargain compared to similar societies!
