What we’re all about
The Advertising, Marketing and PR society (AMP) was established to give students the chance to explore the world of Marketing through various different ways. These include guest speakers, networking events, workshops, skill building opportunities and chances to work on marketing campaigns for local organisations such as other societies or charities.
We aim to bring together a range of people from different backgrounds to proactively engage in the sharing of ideas whether it be on projects or just in general.
Of course, a society wouldn't be a society without socials and there will be a number of different events held throughout the year.
AMPlify Your Potential.
Fancy a career in advertising, marketing or PR? Amplify your potential with a range of events including guest speakers, networking events, workshops, skill building opportunities and chances to work on marketing campaigns.
Industry Talks and Workshops
Throughout the year there will be opportunities for members to meet industry professionals, learn from area-specific workshops based around such things as digital marketing or PR consultancy and gain knowledge of all three of the society's interests. Advertising, Marketing and PR.
An exciting chance for all members to work on projects in partnership with local charities, societies and organisations to aid their marketing activities. This could include promotional materials, campaigns, film making, PR channels and public events.
The society is currently working with Basis Yorkshire, a local charity, with their marketing for a campaign which they are running later this year. Join now for the opportunity to work on projects like this.
AMP is all about bringing together people from different backgrounds for the sharing of ideas and our socials are built around this. As well as the typical nights out, we have held a Quiz Night at Mod Pizza which included a pizza and refillable soft drink for a reasonable ticket price where talking is the main theme of the event. We hope to host more events of this type to make AMP accessible to all.
Naturally, if a project goes well there will be a party to celebrate all your achievements.
