Our Culture & Values

During 2018 to 2022, LUU’s culture was centred around five core values: inclusive, serving, enterprising, empowering and fun.

From the services we provide to the people we hire, these values inform everything we do, and how we do it. We live by our values and are proud of the culture we’ve fostered through their implementation. During 2022 to 2026, we’ve simplified to three core values.

Here at Leeds University Union, we believe there is no place in society for racism. With a long history of working towards diversity and inclusion in our operations, we are now seeking to strengthen our existing activity as we embark on a journey to become a truly anti-racist organisation.

We’re already changing and improving our practices as an organisation and establishing our next steps, but before we share our full Anti-Racism Statement with you, we wanted to provide you with a preview of our approach.
